Tour Plan
Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your adventure begins in Kigali, Rwanda, where your professional safari guide will meet you at your hotel for a short briefing about the journey ahead. After meeting your guide, depart Kigali and drive towards the Uganda–Rwanda border while enjoying scenic views of Rwanda’s famous rolling hills and countryside landscapes.
After completing border formalities, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The drive is incredibly scenic, passing through rural villages, terraced hillsides, and lush forests.
Upon arrival near the park, check in at Bweza Gorilla Lodge, where you can relax and prepare for the exciting gorilla trekking experience the following day. Enjoy dinner and the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest as you anticipate your encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Return to Kigali
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers about the guidelines for gorilla trekking. Once the briefing is complete, you will be assigned a gorilla family and begin your trek through the dense rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The trek can take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the location of the gorilla family, but the experience is incredibly rewarding. When you finally encounter the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing and photographing them as they go about their daily lives in the forest.
After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation.
Optional Activity: You may choose to participate in the Batwa Cultural Experience, where you will meet the indigenous Batwa people, the original forest dwellers of Bwindi. During this cultural visit, the Batwa share their traditional hunting techniques, forest survival skills, music, dance, and stories about their ancient way of life in the rainforest.
Later, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali. Upon arrival, your guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your memorable 2-day gorilla trekking safari.
