Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe to Kibale
Depart early for western Uganda and settle near Kibale Forest.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking
Join a guided chimpanzee trek after the park briefing. A Bigodi community walk can be added if time allows.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi
Travel south to gorilla country. This is a substantial driving day, so the evening is reserved for settling in.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking
Walk with the park rangers to locate your assigned gorilla group. Return to the lodge without a fixed afternoon programme.
Day 5: Return to Entebbe
Begin the long road transfer after breakfast. A Kigali finish can be arranged instead, with the route and price reconfirmed.

One gorilla permit and one chimpanzee trekking permit per person, four mid-range lodge nights, private road transport, driver-guide and scheduled meals.
