This 7 day Uganda Wildlife and Primates Safari takes you through some of the country’s most iconic national parks, offering a perfect balance of adventure, wildlife encounters, and breathtaking scenery from north to south.
Your journey begins at Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and one of its most spectacular parks, famous for the powerful Nile River as it squeezes through a narrow gorge to create the dramatic Murchison Falls. Here, you will enjoy game drives in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and many other wildlife species.
Continue to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the primate capital of East Africa, where you will embark on an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience through lush tropical rainforest.
The safari then proceeds to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a diverse ecosystem of savannah, wetlands, and crater lakes, offering excellent game viewing including tree-climbing lions, elephants, and hippos along the Kazinga Channel.
The highlight of your journey awaits in the misty highlands of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will trek deep into the forest to meet the endangered mountain gorillas face-to-face in their natural habitat a truly life changing experience.
After the adventure, unwind at the scenic Lake Bunyonyi, known for its calm waters and beautiful terraced hills, before making your way back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide from Tavira Africa Safaris. After a short briefing, begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most dramatic wildlife reserve.En route, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting guided rhino tracking experience on foot—your first close encounter with Uganda’s Big Five conservation efforts.
Continue your drive with a lunch stop in Masindi before entering the park. Upon arrival, enjoy your first glimpse of Murchison’s vast savannahs, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and many antelope species. Bird lovers can also spot rare species such as the shoebill stork and Goliath heron.
Check in at Parkside Safari Lodge and relax as you settle into the wilderness atmosphere.

Start your day with an early morning game drive across the northern plains of Murchison Falls National Park. This area offers excellent wildlife viewing, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species roaming freely.Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for a scenic boat cruise along the Nile River towards the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. Along the way, enjoy close-up views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and numerous water birds along the riverbanks.
For the adventurous, hike to the top of the falls where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge, creating one of the most powerful natural spectacles in Africa.
