Day 1: Akagera National Park Safari Experience
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Kigali or Kigali International Airport by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing, you will drive to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah park and home to the Big Five.

Upon arrival, enjoy your first exciting game drive across the park’s diverse landscapes of savannah, wetlands, and woodlands. Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and hyenas, along with antelope species such as topis, impalas, bushbucks, waterbucks, oribis, and the impressive cape eland.

After your morning game drive, enjoy lunch at your lodge before heading out again in the afternoon for another wildlife viewing experience and photography opportunities across the park.

Akagera offers some of the most scenic wildlife encounters in Rwanda, making it a perfect introduction to your safari journey.

Day 2: Akagera National Park to Lake Kivu (Kibuye)
After breakfast, depart Akagera and travel to Kibuye on the scenic shores of Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes and a highlight of Rwanda’s western region.

The journey offers beautiful views of rolling hills, eucalyptus forests, and lush countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival in Kibuye, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the calm waters of Lake Kivu. Take in breathtaking views of surrounding green hills, peaceful islands, and lakeside villages.

Day 3: Lake Kivu to Kigali City Tour and Departure
