Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala by our professional safari guide from Tavira Africa Safaris. After a short briefing, you will set off on a scenic drive towards western Uganda.
Along the way, enjoy a stop at the Equator for memorable photos, coffee, and a chance to stand in both hemispheres at once. Continue your journey through beautiful countryside, rolling hills, vibrant roadside markets, and lush tea plantations.
As you approach Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will descend the dramatic escarpment and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the park’s vast savannah and crater lakes.
Upon arrival, check in at Mweya Safari Lodge and relax. Depending on arrival time, you may take a short visit to a nearby crater lake or local community walk. In the evening, unwind at the lodge while enjoying stunning views over the park and Lake Edward.

Day 2: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start your day early with breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive at around 7:00 AM across the Kasenyi plains. This area is known for excellent wildlife sightings, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, warthogs, and various antelope species.
After the game drive, return to Mweya Safari Lodge for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for the afternoon highlight.
At 3:00 PM, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, one of the best wildlife viewing spots in Africa. Here you will see large pods of hippos, massive Nile crocodiles, elephants bathing at the shores, buffaloes, and an incredible variety of bird species.
After the boat cruise, you may enjoy a short evening game drive as you return to the lodge. Later, relax over dinner and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the wilderness.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Return to Kampala
After an early breakfast, depart for Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience starting at around 6:00 AM.
Trek through the forest with experienced guides as you search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Once located, you will observe them as they play, feed, and swing through the trees an unforgettable primate encounter.
After the trek, begin your journey back to Kampala. Enjoy a lunch stop at the Equator once again before continuing your drive.
You will arrive in Kampala in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your luxury Queen Elizabeth safari experience.
