Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing, begin your scenic journey to Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s incredible primates and volcanic landscapes.
Enjoy a beautiful drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills, green valleys, and banana plantations along well-maintained roads as you head northwest toward Musanze.
Upon arrival, check in at La Palme Hotel, a comfortable lodge located at the foothills of the Virunga Mountains and close to the park headquarters. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for your trekking adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kinigi Park Headquarters at Volcanoes National Park for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and group allocation.
Your gorilla trekking adventure begins as you enter the dense rainforest with experienced ranger guides in search of one of the habituated gorilla families.
The trek can last between 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, as you navigate through thick vegetation and varying terrain.
Once the gorilla family is found, you will spend a magical one hour observing their behavior, interactions, and daily life in their natural habitat—a truly unforgettable wildlife encounter.
After the trek, return to La Palme Hotel for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy breakfast before heading back to the Kinigi Park Headquarters for your golden monkey trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.
This trek is shorter and easier compared to gorilla trekking, usually taking 1 to 2 hours before locating the primates within the bamboo forests.
The endangered golden monkeys live in large social groups and are known for their playful behavior and striking golden-orange fur, making them a delight to observe.
Once found, you will spend one hour watching them as they jump through bamboo trees and interact within their troops.
After the experience, return to La Palme Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure from Rwanda
After breakfast, depart Volcanoes National Park and drive back to Kigali, enjoying the scenic landscapes one last time.
Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have lunch before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
