Kigali welcome and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Meet your Tavira guide at the airport or agreed hotel, complete a clear safari briefing and continue to your first lodge without unnecessary rushing. The guide confirms the route, permit documents, dietary requirements and the practical plan for the following morning.
Where arrival time allows, a short city or neighbourhood experience can be included. Guests arriving later are taken directly to the lodge to rest before the safari begins.
Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, meet the park team for registration and a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. Trackers lead your small group into the rainforest, where the length and difficulty of the walk depend on the gorillas’ location, terrain and weather.
Once the gorilla family is reached, follow the ranger’s instructions and enjoy the permitted viewing period quietly. Return to the trailhead for your certificate and a relaxed afternoon at the lodge or an optional community experience.
