Kigali welcome and city experience
Meet your Tavira guide at the airport or agreed hotel for a clear safari briefing and a comfortable transfer to the first lodge. The route, permit documents, dietary needs and next morning’s timing are confirmed before you settle in.
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Report to the park office for a ranger briefing, then continue into bamboo forest or the Virunga highlands for the confirmed primate experience or hike. Reliable footwear and rain protection are essential, and the afternoon remains deliberately unhurried after the active morning.
Mountain gorilla trekking
After an early breakfast, report to the park team for registration and a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. Trackers lead the small group into the rainforest; walking time and difficulty depend on the gorillas’ location, terrain and weather. At the family, follow ranger instructions and enjoy the permitted viewing period quietly before returning to the trailhead.
Golden monkey trekking and return to Kigali
